2025 AGIC Shenzhen (International) Forum on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Innovation and Development

Amid the wave of deep integration between artificial intelligence and robotics, Shenzhen, as a “pioneering city,” is once again at the forefront of global technology. On August 28, 2025, the 2025 Shenzhen (International) General Artificial Intelligence Conference – Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Development Forum, hosted by the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, grandly opened in the Mangrove Hall of the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center (Bao’an). Bringing together government leaders, academicians, experts, business leaders, and international representatives, the conference presented a panoramic view of the four pillars of Shenzhen’s AI and robotics industry ecosystem, injecting “Shenzhen momentum” into the coordinated development of the global intelligent industry.

Anchoring Global Benchmarks, Creating New Heights

Wang Jiangping, Member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Director of the Second National New Materials Advisory Committee, Director of the Electronic Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the 2025 AGIC Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Innovation and Development Forum and delivered a speech.

He pointed out that the AI and robotics industries, as typical representatives of new productivity, are developing rapidly but still face shortcomings, such as high-end computing chips. With the release of the State Council’s “AI Plus” Action Plan, he proposed four recommendations: adhere to innovation-driven development to address core shortcomings, strengthen enterprise support to stimulate market vitality, promote industrial integration and empowerment to overcome transformation bottlenecks, and uphold open cooperation to jointly build a global ecosystem, thereby helping the industry achieve high-quality development.

Using the Grand Event as a Bridge to Empower Global Development

In his keynote address on “Opportunities and Challenges of General Artificial Intelligence Industrialization,” Executive Chairman Fan Congming pointed out that artificial intelligence and robotics, as strategic technologies leading the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, are becoming core engines driving high-quality economic and social development. Currently, terminal devices such as robots have entered a period of intelligent transformation. AI technology empowers hardware with “thinking” capabilities, driving the technological system from single-point breakthroughs to a coordinated ecosystem, providing strong momentum for Shenzhen to become a global source of innovation and an industrial hub for the intelligent industry.

Breaking Down the Barriers of Integration between Industry, Academia, and Research to Activate Innovation Momentum

The Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association and the National Science and Technology Resource Sharing Service Engineering Technology Research Center of Beihang University signed a strategic cooperation agreement to establish an innovative paradigm for the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application.

From Model to Ecosystem, Unlocking the Intelligent Future

In the keynote speech, Wang Jianping, Deputy Director of the National Science and Technology Resource Sharing Service Engineering Technology Research Center at Beihang University, systematically explained the logic and practical path for building a national AI industry model and released the latest results.

Zhang Jiaxing, Chief Scientist of Artificial Intelligence and Director of Lion Rock Laboratory at China Merchants Group, delivered an in-depth presentation on “World and Model.” He noted that the development of large models is reshaping how humans perceive and interact with the world.

Ludovic Krundel, Co-founder and CTO of Stardust & Company, discussed building a global robotics ecosystem, from advanced AI systems to international synergies.

Reconstructing Experience, Leading the Application Revolution

Mr. Liu Zhiqiang, President of the Hong Kong Applied Innovation Research Institute and Partner of Digital China (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a presentation on robotics ethics. A bridge connecting people, robots, and society.

Yang Bo, Vice President of Technical Services and AI Business Development at Jihu Yuma, presented the “AGENT Enters the Code Warehouse” initiative, briefly discussing the evolution of enterprise R&D efficiency and promoting the transformation of enterprise R&D from “human-driven” to “AI-driven.”

Li Runchao, Senior Product Development Expert at Highpower Technology, explained how, from safety to battery life, Highpower Technology’s “AI + Solid-State Drive” approach is creating a new paradigm for energy solutions for robotics and AI-powered smart hardware.

A “Combined Punch” Creates New Fertile Ground

Xu Shaoqing, Level 3 Researcher of the Data Resources Management Division of the Shenzhen Municipal Government Services and Data Administration, provided a comprehensive explanation of Shenzhen’s policy matrix supporting the development of the artificial intelligence industry during the “Policy Express” session.

Intelligently Charting a Global Ecosystem, Creating a New Era of Intelligence

The successful holding of this forum not only serves as a window for Shenzhen to showcase its strength in the artificial intelligence and robotics industries, but also as a bridge for the coordinated development of the global intelligent industry. Going forward, Shenzhen will continue to embrace an open, innovative, and collaborative approach, connecting with global innovation resources to promote technological breakthroughs, ecosystem co-building, and application implementation. Shenzhen stands at the forefront of this transformation, working hand in hand with the world to chart a grand blueprint for an intelligent future.
